He lost his father when he was very young. It was his mother who raised him. She runs a women clothing store in Hyderabad.
In 2010, he made his first-class debut for Hyderabad aged just 17.
In 2012, he was part of the Indian squad that won the ICC U-19 World Cup.
In 2013, he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 6th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). He was in Hyderabad’s squad from 2013 to 2015.
