Hemwant Tiwari spent his childhood at different places since his father was in Indian Army and got frequent transfers.
His father wanted Hemwant to join the Indian army. But he had always dreamt of becoming an actor. However, he also appeared in the National Defence Academy’s entrance exam.
Hemwant Tiwari worked in call centers to earn money for his acting courses.
In his struggling days, he only managed to get work in ad films and short films. For earning extra income he also taught yoga for some time.
He had done an acting course from ‘Barry John’ acting school in 2007. After the course, he joined theater to improve his acting skills.
He acted in a short film named ‘Zindagi Bahut Khoobsurat’, which was screened at the Court Metrage, in the Cannes Film Festival, in 2013.
He has also directed a short film called ‘Salaam’.
