His grandfather ran away from his birth country, Poland to Argentina during World War II.
He was born in Argentina in a middle-class family. His father also played football. Though at a very small level; as a midfielder. He wanted one of his sons to become a footballer.
His father ran a lottery Shop in Córdoba. He used to accompany his father to the shop sometimes in his childhood.
He was raised with his two brothers. His eldest brother Gustavo once tried football but wasn’t able to make it. He believes it wasn’t his calling.
His father used to accompany him to the academy. In an interview, he told that it was his father’s dream to see him as a footballer.
In September 2008, his father passed away due to cancer.
This was a big setback for Dybala. He almost gave away his footballing dream after the incident. Though after some time off the field, he gathered himself and started working to fulfil his father’s dream.
He started his professional career with Instituto de Córdoba in 2011.
In 2012, he moved to the Italian club, Palermo.
In the 2014-2015 Season, he scored 13 goals and accumulated 13 assists.
On 4 June 2015, he joined the Italian giants Juventus on a five-year contract.
He was a big fan of Andrea Pirlo since his childhood. He took up the number 21 jersey as Andrea Pirlo and Zidane wore the same number at their time in Juventus.
He was eligible to play for three countries; Argentina, Poland and Italy. He chose Argentina; as he said he felt that he is an Argentine and has always dreamt of playing for Argentina.
In his first start for Argentina on 1 September 2016, he was sent off in the first half against Uruguay.
On 9 August 2017, he was given the number 10 shirt of Juventus.
He was named in Argentina’s squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
His mask celebration is quite famous among the football fans and is popularly known as Dybalamask. In an interview, he explained the meaning behind his celebration. He said, “Dybalamask is really simple: it’s the mask of a gladiator! When we struggle, sometimes we must wear our warrior mask to be stronger, without losing our smile and kindness!”
