Salim Khan’s grandfather’s great-grandfather had migrated from Afghanistan to India and got settled in Indore State, British India, where they used to live at 21, Palasia, Indore. His family served the British Indian army as cavalry for a long time.
‘Education’ was the primary reason for Salim Khan’s family to emigrate from Afghanistan to India.
