She started swimming at the age of 9.
At the 2008 European Aquatics Championships in Netherlands, she won Gold in Women’s 100 m butterfly event at the age of 14.
At the 2009 World Aquatics Championships semi-final, she set a World Record in Women’s 100 m butterfly even with a time of 56.44 seconds & she broke her record on the very next day in the finals with a time of 56.06 seconds.
