Wawrinka finally got the permission to ‘simplify’ his name from ‘Stanislas’ to ‘Stan’ after repeated failed attempts, prior to the 2014 edition of French Open. He believed that his name was a little tough to pronounce and thus made up his mind for a simplified name.
